Water and sewer modelling is undertaken to ensure proposed developments do not detrimentally impact on the integrity of Wingecarribee Shire Council's water and sewer systems. This includes water pressure determination, water development assessment and sewer development assessment.
A fact sheet outlining the requirements for modelling and the steps involved is provided below:
Water and Sewer Modelling Fact Sheet(PDF, 232KB)
Council's modelling design standards below define the parameters and practices to be adopted when designing particular components of Council's water and sewer systems.

Council offers the following water & sewer modelling services for customers and developers:
A water pressure and flow certificate, to determine the maximum available fire flow at a specific location in the water network. Standard fees apply. Results will be sent within 2-3 weeks of application receipt.
A modelling report to identify the shutdown methodology and impact on existing customer services during planned water and sewer outages. To facilitate water and sewer main cut-ins, diversions and network modifications.
Water hydraulic modelling assessment to determine impact of development on existing Council infrastructure. Assessment includes recommendations for upgrade (where required) to cater for additional load on the system. This assessment does not include modelling of the development’s internal water reticulation.
Sewer hydraulic modelling assessment to determine impact of development on existing Council infrastructure. Assessment includes recommendations for upgrade (where required) to cater for the additional load on the system. This assessment does not include modelling of the development’s internal sewer reticulation and/or pump stations.
